First Aid Response
First Aid Response is the new standard for first aid training in the workplace and home, replacing the former Occupational First Aid course.
First Aid Response has introduced a standardised national syllabus for first aid, including the Cardiac First Response Community standard in all courses.
On completion of the First Aid Response course, each participant will:
- Understand the responsibilities of a provider of first aid
- Be able to provide treatment for the purpose of preserving life or minimising the consequences of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance
- Be able to provide treatment in the workplace for an injury which does not require the attention of a medical practitioner or nurse
- Be capable of coordinating first aid arrangements in the workplace
- Be familiar with health and safety legislation on first aid provision in the workplace
First Aid Response is suitable for everyone, but in particular for employees in your business. The course is certified by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council. It is delivered over 3 days with a minimum of 18 hours of quality training. We know that time away from work is difficult so we would be happy to discuss a timetable that would suit you and your participants.
We will supply all training materials and a student pack. Upon successful completion of the First Aid Response course, participants are issued with a certificate that is valid for 2 years.
To ensure efficient learning, the maximum number of participants per class is 6. If you have more people to train, contact us and we will be happy to arrange an additional instructor or course.
